Pine & Bark started just before 2020 as a fun, creative side project — a chance to make something with my hands and explore a new creative outlet. What began as a little experiment turned into a long-lasting passion project that I'm still excited to grow and create for today.

I'm Elena, a photographer, outdoor enthusiast, and lifelong dog person based in Central Oregon. My own dogs are a big part of my life, and they're often the inspiration behind what I make.

I started creating dog ID tags because I wanted something that felt a little different: durable, functional, and full of personality. I love designs inspired by the outdoors, the little details that make something feel special, and creating things that celebrate the animals who make our lives better.

Pine & Bark has evolved over the years, but the heart of it remains the same: making thoughtful, playful things for the pets who are always along for the adventure.

Dog ID Tags

What size tag should I choose?

Our 1-inch tags are generally best for smaller dogs (50 lbs and under) and names up to 6 characters. Our 1.25-inch tags offer more room for longer names and are often a better fit for larger dogs (50 lbs and over). Consider your dog's size, collar, and preferred design when choosing.

Can I request a custom design?

Absolutely! If you'd like a combination of stamps you don't see listed, choose the Custom Listing and share your ideas in the personalization notes. Looking for a stamp I don't currently carry? Send me a message first. Special-order stamps generally cost around $10 extra per stamp.

Can I choose the hole placement on a square tag?

Yes! Let me know whether you'd prefer the hole on the side for a square orientation or at the corner for a diamond orientation. If you don't specify, I'll choose the placement that best suits the design.

Are your tags handmade?

Yes! Each tag is individually hand-stamped, so slight variations are part of what makes every piece unique. Your finished tag may differ slightly from the product photos.

Do you offer collar-slide tags?

Yes! Collar-slide tags attach directly to your dog's collar, creating a quieter, low-profile alternative to a traditional hanging tag. They're a personal favorite for active dogs.

How long will my order take?

Each tag is made to order. Production typically take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on the current order volume, followed by shipping time.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! International shipping options will appear at checkout when available.

Can I pick up my order locally?

If you're local to Central Oregon, use code LOCALPICKUP at checkout to skip shipping costs and arrange local pickup.

Can I return or cancel my order?

Because items are made to order and personalized, please review your selections carefully before purchasing. If you need to make a change, contact me as soon as possible. I can often accommodate cancellations shortly after an order is placed, before production begins.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY? I sure do! You’ll see that option at checkout.SQUARE TAGS - HOLE PLACEMENTSquare tags can get holes punched on either the side, to hang like a square, or at the corner to hang like a diamond. Please let me know your preference, otherwise I will pick best placement per the design and name :) WHAT SIZE TAG IS BEST FOR MY DOG?1” tags fit names with 6 characters or less best. These are best suited for smaller dogs 40 lbs and under or so.1.25” tags fit names with 8 characters or less best. These are also better suited for dogs over 40/50 lbs.If your dog has two names, consider the design choice as it will need 2 lines of text, so choose a simpler design.Collar slide tags are the safest and most secure tag available. They slide directly onto your dogs collar, and I have never seen or heard of one getting lost or caught on anything. They also are noise free, and can take more design than a traditional tag. These are my personal favorites & what I use on my dogs.HEY, WHERE‘S MY ORDER?My production time frame is typically several weeks to create your tag, depending on the order load. It then can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks in the mail for your tag to be delivered. Once the tag is out of my possession, it is your responsibility to use the provided tracking number to trace it. Please triple check that the address you entered it correct. If your tag is MIA, please do contact me, I want to make sure you get what you ordered!HOW DO I CARE FOR MY TAG?Please see the care and cleaning tips here: CARE TIPSI CHANGED MY MIND, CAN I GET A REFUND?As a small business, I use the profits to reinvest in my company. Running a small business takes money, and making things requires supplies that I have to pay for. As such, I ask you to consider your purchase carefully before making it because I cannot do returns. If you placed your order, within a few hours, I can cancel it though.I PUT IN THE WRONG ADDRESS AND MY PACKAGE NEVER CAME.I send your order to the address you’ve provided us with. Unless you e-mail me and ask us to send it elsewhere, I cannot be held responsible for lost orders. Please carefully enter your address and double check it before purchasing; if you notice a mistake get in touch asap or your order will be sent to the address you typed in.THE PHONE NUMBER IS STAMPED WRONG ON MY TAG.Please triple check what you enter for details, across the site. I will do my best to create your vision! If you are interested in a stamp or design that I do not have in my collection, please message me to see if the stamp is something that can be ordered.
