Keep It Dry
Our tags are made from real metals that can naturally tarnish over time. To help keep your tag looking its best, avoid prolonged moisture when possible. If it gets wet, simply dry it with a soft cloth.
Refresh Your Tag
Has your tag been on a few adventures and lost a little of its shine? Our polishing kits make it easy to refresh the metal and touch up stamped lettering at home.
Our polishing kits include:
Sharpie marker for refreshing stamped lettering
Super-fine steel wool (#0000)
Polishing pad
How to Refresh the Stamped Lettering
Make sure your tag is clean and dry.
Carefully fill the stamped lettering with a Sharpie marker.
Let the ink dry for a few minutes.
Using super-fine steel wool (#0000), gently buff the surface to remove excess ink while leaving the lettering dark.
Bring Back the Shine
Once the lettering is refreshed, use the polishing pad to buff the tag and restore its shine. Follow the instructions included with your polishing kit, and avoid abrasive materials on plated, coated, or otherwise delicate finishes.
